[案件]景氣不好的象徵嗎？

最近MIT校園內發生兩件搶案，讓我感覺到校園沒有想像中安全，難道這是經濟不景氣的併發症嗎？以前學校寄Crime Alert to the MIT Community，看起來都沒啥感覺，因為通常都在校園外，沒想到，罪惡之手悄悄地蔓延到校園內了，看來很多人都很缺錢...

[案件一]11/20/2008，9:50pm(還不算晚)，在兩棟學校宿舍之間(其實這兩棟宿舍是相鄰的，而且其中一棟是我住的宿舍)，有位女研究生被兩個持有武器的人(as if carrying a gun)搶了現金US$10和信用卡。
重點(Key words)：離我宿舍很近，歹徒可能持槍，時間不算晚，在兩棟宿舍之間走路約1分鐘的路途也可以被搶。
(On Thursday, November 20, 2008, at approximately 9:50 p.m., a female student was the victim of an armed robbery on Pacific Street. This incident occurred in the vicinity of Ashdown and Sidney and Pacific dormitories. The victim was walking alone when approached by the two suspects. One stayed at her back and the other faced her, and demanded her money. The victim handed over her wallet which contained $10.00 cash, and credit/debit cards.)

[案件二]12/2/2008，3:00pm(大家平日還在上班上學的時間)，這案件更離奇了，受害者在學校建築物的西側出口(離我們化工系館很近)，推著裝滿食物的推車時，莫名奇妙先被一個人在臉上揍了一拳，然後另一個人搶走他背包，很可憐的是，受害者連看到嫌疑犯的機會都沒有。
重點(Key words)：校園內案件，離我們系館很近，莫名其妙被打，發生時間是下午。
(The MIT Police responded to a robbery that occurred on the West exterior side of building 68 on December 2, 2008 at approximately 3:00 p.m. No suspects were observed by the victim or persons in the area. Victim was exiting the West side of building 68 with a push cart full of food. Victim states that he was punched on the side of his face by one person and hip by another person. Taken was a red backpack with red straps.)

路人A：學生這麼窮，幹麻搶我們啦！！！
路人B：平常身上一定要有US$20現金，避免萬一被搶時身上沒錢被揍。
