[Mood]Unit conversion

>> Thursday, June 12, 2008

Recently, when I viewed articles online, they usually mentioned some units like million, billion or trillion. Of course we know that million means 10^6, but then what is billion? Even trillion? Billion means 10^9 and trillion means 10^12 (for US).
ps. Two sincere friends guided me to the wrong expression of billion. (= _ =)
Thanks Chiao for correcting it.

err... billion means either 10^9 or 10^12 never 10^10 http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Billion

same with trillion, either 10^12 or 10^18
